Packaging Engineer, Liquids at Helen of Troy Nevada Corporation in Marlborough, MA
Lead the R D efforts for Helen of Troy’s liquid beauty products. Use deep technical knowledge in material science, an understanding of industry packaging trends, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to ensure compliance and innovation in packaging designs.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead R D efforts in packaging, particularly for aerosols, pumps, sprays, and other cosmetic components. Continually monitor global innovations in packaging technologies, materials, and components. Collaborate with the Liquids regulatory team, ESG, and Legal to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Engage proactively with teams such as R D, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering. Lead in researching and adopting innovative packaging materials that uphold Helen of Troy’s brand values. Organize evaluations and stability testing of packaging prototypes in alignment with industry standards. Manage multiple projects showcasing adaptability and efficient organizing skills. Solve technical challenges in the packaging development process through analytical and collaborative means. Showcase expertise in developing and testing prototypes and samples, ensuring they align with desired product specifications and quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Polymer Science, Packaging or Chemical Engineering, Packaging Systems and Design, or related field and two (2) years of experience with:
Product packaging;
Packaging materials and components;
Global packaging regulations and industry standards;
Managing or supporting large-scale projects from inception to completion; and
Developing, prototyping, and testing packaging samples.
Hybrid office/home work schedule.
Up to 5% domestic travel required.
