We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent SupplierQuality Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturingindustry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developingand maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providingquality engineering support within new product development,operational, and system settings. This is a full-time, permanentposition that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to ourmission of delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and monitor supplier qualityprograms, ensuring compliance with the company’s standards andregulatory requirements. 2. Conduct supplier audits to driveprocess standardization, waste elimination, and continuousimprovement. 3. Establish and implement metrics for monitoringsystem effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound productquality decisions. 4. Perform root cause analysis and resolution ofquality issues with suppliers and internal processes. 5. Review andapprove supplier first article inspections and PPAPs. 6. Developlong-term supplier relationships and generate and implement costreduction and improvement ideas. 7. Use Lean and Six Sigmamethodologies to improve supplier performance. 8. Drive “ZeroDefect” mentality within the supply base. 9. Collaborate withEngineering and Operations to ensure the smooth implementation ofnew products and processes. 10. Participate in Kaizen events andlead cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relatedfield. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role withinthe Manufacturing industry. 3. Strong knowledge of quality systemsand certifications, including
ISO 9001. 4.
Proficient in qualitytools such as SCAR, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, ProcessCapabilities, Gage R&R. 5. Demonstrated experience with LeanManufacturing and Kaizen. 6. Excellent problem-solving andanalytical skills. 7. Strong communication and interpersonalskills. 8. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. 9.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.10. Ability to travel as required.
