Applications include leading edge technology and next generation power requirements in industries such as alternate energy (wind, solar, fuel cell), datacenter and server power supply design and electrical distribution, electric vehicles, LED lighting, and battery charging. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for monitoring, auditing, and improving the quality performance of Anderson Power’s global supply base. This role leads the execution of supplier audits, manages supplier nonconformances, drives corrective actions, and supports Product Development (NPD) by ensuring suppliers meet required standards from day one. The SQE works cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, and quality teams to ensure materials and components consistently meet specifications and customer expectations. Responsibilities Develop and manage the global supplier quality program, including SCARs, supplier scorecards, and risk evaluations
Track and report key supplier metrics (PPM, NCRs, OTD) to sourcing and operations leadership
Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations for supplier-caused defects
Plan, schedule, and conduct supplier audits globally (initial qualification, ongoing performance, and re-audits)
Evaluate supplier processes, quality systems (ISO9001), and manufacturing capabilities
Issue formal audit reports and follow through on corrective action plans to closure
Support supplier readiness for CBAM, ISO, and customer-specific regulatory requirements
Participate in supplier selection and qualification during product launches
Review and approve PPAP submissions, control plans, and process validation documents
Collaborate with sourcing engineers to assess readiness and technical capabilities of new suppliers
Proactively assess quality risk within the supply base and escalate as needed
Facilitate supplier improvement initiatives (SPC, lean tools, error-proofing)
Contribute to make/buy decisions and strategic sourcing plans from a quality standpoint Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or related technical field
3-7 years of supplier quality or manufacturing quality experience, preferably in a multi-site or global environment
In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and supplier audit processes (ISO 19011 knowledge a plus)
Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, and 8D methodology
Ability to work independently, manage cross-functional projects, and communicate effectively across cultures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experienced in plastic molding, stamping, forging, and machining processes.
Proven Project Management experience.
Six Sigma certification or Lean manufacturing experience
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CBAM, RoHS, or REACH
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Proficiency with ERP systems and quality software tools
Must be willing to travel both domestic and International up to 25% of the time. The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,504.00 and $101,553.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
