Localization Engineer at Lionbridge Technologies in Augusta, Maine, United States Job Description Localization Engineer (6-month contract) Position Summary The Localization Engineer will prepare and execute the localization workflows for the teams that require them, ensuring quality and efficiency. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams and ask the right questions. What You Will Do +
Localization Production Workflow Management :
Independently manage end-to-end localization workflow for a client engineering team, including onboarding localization, guiding build configuration, monitoring localization workflow status, managing localization pull requests (PRs), and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure seamless transitions and maintain workflow efficiency. +
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all localized deliverables adhere to company standards and client specifications. + Proactively work with various stakeholders (including product engineering teams) to address any issues or discrepancies in the localization workflow. Assist others and drive related discussions within assigned areas. + Collaborate with the broader team on localization migration efforts, demonstrating comfort in driving related discussions within assigned areas. To Be Successful You Will Have + At least 5 years of hands-on experience in localization production work or a related field. + Familiarity with various localization tools (LocStudio, Lsbuild to name a few), file formats (LCGs, LCLs, XLFs, JSON, RESX, TXT to name a few), Azure Pipelines, scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell), and strong troubleshooting skills. + Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently under tight deadlines. + Strong focus on accuracy and consistency in managing localization processes. + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflows efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
