Job Description
Conducts time and motion studies, measuring work patterns and work methods to develop and implement practices and programs that ensure the most efficient use of production staff; directs time and motion studies to identify opportunities to improve overall efficiency and cost savings relative to employees and facilities; conducts or leads the observation and analysis of work procedures to determine the time and motion requirements of each position or assignment; analyzes data and specifications to establish reasonable time and production standards; uses mathematical analysis to identify objective measurements of alternate work patterns; applies industrial management techniques and principles to develop cost and time-saving recommendations and modifications to work methods, staffing requirements, wage rates, and equipment and facilities upgrades; designs and coordinates all phases of the production process using industrial engineering principles and best practices; trains technicians in time and motion techniques, methods, and principles.
