Full Time Exempt Summary:
This position is the owner of all manufacturing processes, including documentation, equipment, and methods. Also, in this role you will develop and implement optimal, manufacturing processes, improve internal processes, and practices in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, equipment, and material utilization. Lead lean events such as Kaizens and root-cause events. Examples of Duties

- Analyze, identify, and implement manufacturing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance by facilitating the RCCM process through structured problem solving
- Owns the process and flow for all manufacturing areas of the facilities
- Lead kaizen events and root-cause events
- Participate in facility Gemba walks and work on actions that get assigned.
- Work with Engineering to bring new products through all stages from concept and prototyping to final production
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities based on new tooling and technology
- Provide Engineering R&D and Production Supervisor with best manufacturing practice evaluations on CNC punching, Laser cutting, press brake forming, and other production sheet metal fabrication processes
- Document and evaluate work process to write work instructions or processes.

- Apply knowledge of fabrication including machining, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, controls, and sensors to automate machines and processes
- Provide Production leadership with manpower resource planning evaluations for new or updated processes and production levels
- Apply time standards to new Bill of Materials (BOMs) and maintain existing materials requirement planning (MRP) system labor standards to reflect drawing revisions
- Conduct labor time study evaluations to maintain accurate product costs
- Prepare and submit detailed equipment and process evaluations required to win internal and corporate approval for capital projects
- Prepare and maintain project timelines and budgets for capital projects
- Reviews ECNs and updates process documentation during the change process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lead others and influence them to support work unit and company objectives
- Skill with Excel spreadsheets and Access databases
- Strong analytical skills.
- Skill in written communication, especially technical writing
- Proficiency in 2D CAD systems including AutoCAD (for plant layouts
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field including a minimum 2 years of related experience
- Experience with lean and six-sigma concepts.
- Experience with time-studies and process improvements
