55290 Job Description Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by participating in the supplier selection program regarding supplier capabilities and working with existing suppliers to ensure full quality compliance.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, customers, and the public.

Essential Functions:

Establishes and maintains a supplier quality system that is effective in producing, measuring and maintaining a supply base.
Ensures compliance to procedures outlined in the Supplier Quality Manual like

ISO9001/IATF16949

Leads supplier development activities. Revises and implements changes as required.
Participates in Supplier reviews and provides input to Purchasing Department in regards to supplier quality. Performs supplier quality audits acc.

ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA6.

Ensures reliability and accuracy of products provided by the supply base. Ensures that nonconforming material is dispositioned in a timely manner.
Coordinates with suppliers all initiatives relating to supplier quality performance. Tracks performance trends and performs quality trend analysis from supplier base and facilitates corrective actions as appropriate.
Utilizes lean manufacturing, error proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives to support Supplier base by assisting in development of robust processes that assures Parker Zero Defect Initiative.
Provides support to customers relative to supply-based issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required and 2-5 years related experience
Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art quality tools and APQP methods like FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement Equipment incl. MSA, PPAP, incl. able to read technical specifications/drawings Must have ability to effectively solve problems, assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and manufacturing functions by facilitate and improve cross-functional communication
Use standard business applications software and specialized data analysis tools, to establish goals and objectives to complete projects
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification, and

ISO/IATF

auditor certification incl. 2-5 years related audit experience Preferred qualifications Spanish language skills
Experience in Plastic Molding and Assembly processes
