SCOPE OF POSITION
In this role, you will be responsible forsupporting sterilization technology and terminal sterilizationprocesses across the division. We look for you to support ofdevelopment, engineering, and manufacturing projects. You will needto collaborate with cross-functional teams including but notlimited to Operations, Quality, Engineering, and DivisionEngineering. Primary responsibility will be support of internalsterilization equipment, process, and technology as well asinterface with outside vendors.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively collaborate with other site engineers, operationspersonnel, and suppliers to maintain and improve operations
- Workwith operations to gather support needed, information, and provideupdates on process status
- Quickly respond to production andprocess upsets, troubleshoot production issues, diagnose problems,and implement corrective action (machine fix, process change, etc.)to reestablish operations
- Work with operations to further developSPC/SQC for process discipline and control (PD/PC)
- Providestechnical leadership in assigned processes and escalate issuesappropriately
- Act to continuously improve and expand the coreprocess capabilities
- Use of engineering first principles like MEEto drive mechanistic understanding and root cause identifications
- Responsible for providing technical expertise and strategicdirection for sterilization
- Supporting and executing activitiesrelated to development, validation, routine sterilization andrequalification activities
- Lead and work collaboratively acrossproject teams as assigned, which may include commercial productsupport, continuous improvement activities, innovation projects, orother activities related to sterilization
- Reviewing and analyzingprocess data for trends and improvement areas
- Monitor internalasset performance with focus to 98% uptime
- Documents changes viathe change control process
- Train maintenance and operationspersonnel on processes and machinery to transfer operationsknowledge and ensure operational efficiency and product quality
- occasionally must flex working schedule as required to meetbusiness needs
