Description

  • Develop and implement Supplier quality programs. including continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manages supplier qualification process, including reviewing and assessing suppliers’ qualification documents, and performs on-site audits—assessing suppliers’ capabilities and capacity.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance driving measurable improvement in defined KPIs.
  • Improve new supplier introduction, qualification, technical evaluations, and approval processes.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on critical supplier selections, drives supplier continuous improvement processes and approves of supplier corrective actions.
  • Perform risk analysis to define incoming inspection requirements.
  • Support the Implementation of quality system changes and enhancements to drive manufacturing efficiencies, meet shipment commitments, and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Drive “Right the First Time” mentality within the supply base.
  • Work with the engineering team to review assembly specifications as related to manufacturability.
  • Participate in internal quality system audits.
  • Represent and encourage a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing team.

  • BS Degree in quality, industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Practical, hands-on experience in supply chain development, qualifying and developing suppliers.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical assembly drawings, Weld and Coating symbols, work instructions, and written directions.
