Description
- Develop and implement Supplier quality programs. including continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Manages supplier qualification process, including reviewing and assessing suppliers’ qualification documents, and performs on-site audits—assessing suppliers’ capabilities and capacity.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance driving measurable improvement in defined KPIs.
- Improve new supplier introduction, qualification, technical evaluations, and approval processes.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations on critical supplier selections, drives supplier continuous improvement processes and approves of supplier corrective actions.
- Perform risk analysis to define incoming inspection requirements.
- Support the Implementation of quality system changes and enhancements to drive manufacturing efficiencies, meet shipment commitments, and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Drive “Right the First Time” mentality within the supply base.
- Work with the engineering team to review assembly specifications as related to manufacturability.
- Participate in internal quality system audits.
- Represent and encourage a continuous improvement culture within the manufacturing team.

- BS Degree in quality, industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- ASQ certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Practical, hands-on experience in supply chain development, qualifying and developing suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical assembly drawings, Weld and Coating symbols, work instructions, and written directions.
