About this role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial andPackaging Engineer to join our team onsite in Charlotte. The idealcandidate will be responsible for designing, developing, andoptimizing packaging solutions and manufacturing processes toensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Thisrole requires a strong understanding of industrial engineeringprinciples, packaging materials, and production techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop innovative packaging solutions that meetproduct protection, cost, and sustainability requirements. Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improveefficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including productdevelopment, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensureseamless integration of packaging solutions. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for newpackaging designs and process improvements. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) forpackaging and manufacturing processes. Monitor and evaluate packaging performance through testing andanalysis, making necessary adjustments to meet performancestandards. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and bestpractices related to packaging and manufacturing. Provide technical support and training to production staff onpackaging equipment and processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packagingand manufacturing efficiency and sustainability. Maintain layout (in AutoCAD). Analyze current process to identify and mitigate ergonomicrisk. Design flexible workstations to efficiently respond tofluctuating seasonal demand.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, orChemical Engineering, or Engineering Technology 5+ years of experience in industrial and packagingengineering
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in industrial and packaging engineeringin a manufacturing environment Lean manufacturing, cell design, and line balancing experiencerequired Experience developing standard visual work preferred Strong knowledge of packaging materials, design, andmanufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related topackaging and manufacturing. Experience with sustainable packaging solutions andpractices.
