Scope of Position:
- + Work with team members to manage, modify, and develop computer systems used in the manufacturing of optical fiber + Participate in or lead projects to meet plant objectives, reduce costs, and support capacity expansion
- Day to
Day Responsibilities:
- + Provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operations + Collaborate with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via control systems and interfaces + Support process and product optimization efforts + Train engineers and/or production associates on new processes, equipment, or control systems + Participate in capital projects + Provide occasional after-hours, on-call support •Requirements•
Required Education & Experience:
- + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience + 5+ years in a technical role or relevant experience

Required Skills:
- + Proficiency in computer and PLC programming languages such as VB, .NET, C, or real-time systems

Desired Skills:
- + Experience integrating computer systems into manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce costs + Familiarity with MS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP I/O, Microsoft Office + Experience with real-time control systems and motion systems (preferred but not required) + Experience with SCADA and Twincat platforms + Background in production support within manufacturing environments + Strong problem-solving and debugging skills + Ability to troubleshoot low-voltage electrical circuits •
