Primary Purpose:

The QualityEngineer is responsible for driving quality forward by effectivecommunication both internally and externally.

Duties andResponsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining configuration controldocumentation through contract review and blueprint/specificationcontrol. Works independently. Manages Multiple customer accountsincluding OEM’s and sub tiers. Can perform as a backup QE foradditional customers. Work with Engineering to submit waivers andconcessions as required/requested. Work with Engineering review andsubmit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Participate ininvestigation and disposition of customer complaints and customerreturns. Communicate and submit Corrective Actions as needed tocustomers and internally. Review purchase orders received andissued for customer related items. Internal quality representativefor internal and external customers Achieve certification forcustomers source inspection as necessary, including completingtraining and certification. Responsible for working towards variouscontinual improvement projects. May involve training/coaching. Mustbe Trained as Internal Auditor, participates in internal audits,external audits, special process audits, customer audits. Subjectmatter expert with customer specific requirements. Candidate may beassigned various other duties.

Minimum Qualifications andExperience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience 4 years as aQuality Engineer or comparable quality discipline. Proficient inWord, Excel, PowerPoint, basics of using networks and networkfolders. Able to upload and download information from variouscustomer websites. Communicate effectively via direct interactions(in person, conference call, group meetings), as well as indirectlyvia email for example. Write clear instructions for others tofollow successfully. Well organized and able to multi-taskeffectively as well as use other recourses to accomplish tasks.

Ability and willingness to work in a high-paced team-orientedenvironment. Positive attitude, willingness to get the job done.

Read and understand blueprints, detailed customerspecifications/requirements. Work independently and beself-directed.

Preferred :

Experience in castings industry,experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 preferred but not required.
