Job Duties/Description:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and improving processes; providing and supporting floor technology solutions; and elevating the facility towards new and or improved manufacturing for McWane’s Kennedy Valve facility in Elmira, New York. Provide leadership in safety and environmental initiatives for improving processes towards both team member and community health. Develop, integrate, and maintain continuous improvement processes to provide support for inventory control, manufacturing information, manufacturing waste, and team member efficiencies. Develop and support manufacturing information systems with applications such as “Smart Factory” software or Power BI for financial cost, machine, and inventory data. Utilize manufacturing data analytics for control, monitoring, and reporting to improve efficiency and eliminate wastefulness. Support manufacturing and quality teams in initiatives and root cause analysis. Support manufacturing document control initiatives. Evaluate and support facility design or layout towards new and improved manufacturing processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field and one (1) year of work experience in an engineering-related occupation. This position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: machine learning and prediction models; Eclipse; Git; Tomcat Server; Power BI; Oracle framework; Java, JavaScript; SQL; PLSQL; and Python. Such knowledge and experience can be gained concurrently through a combination of employment, internships (part-time or fulltime) and/or academic studies.
