Job Description
What you will do regularly:
Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes for bus production to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Work closely with engineers to develop, implement, and test new production systems and procedures.
Perform time studies, workflow analysis, and process mapping to identify areas for improvement.
Support the development and maintenance of standardized work procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
Assist in the design and layout of factory floor space to optimize workflows and reduce downtime.
Collect, analyze, and report data related to production performance, quality control, and process improvements.
Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are met in all engineering processes.
Analyze and optimize production line workflows to balance workstations, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall line efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
All applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. We will consider equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement techniques.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools for layout design and analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within an industrial setting.
Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
