Position Overview:

Siemens is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager professional withextensive experience in problem solving and issue resolution forsupplier parts. This position directly reports to the SiemensMobility Rolling Stock Supplier Quality Manager, and the selectedcandidate will be an individual contributor with no directreports. What your day-to-day will look like: Strong communication skills and ability to work and prioritizein a fast-paced environment are critical for success in thisposition. Assessment, qualification and development of Mechanical,fabrication & welding suppliers. Evaluates supplier’s systems, products, components, andapplications against technical and quality requirements. Review andimplement an effective PPAP process at Siemens suppliers. Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects inan effort to increase the supplier capability of consistentlymeeting Siemens requirements. Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base. Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling and training.

Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizinginformation and trends. Develop long term supplier relationships and generate andimplement cost reduction ideas. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of anynon-conformities relating to product, process, and qualitysystems. To thrive in this role, you have: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial engineering orequivalent 5 years of experience working in Quality, Engineering relatedfield. At least 3 years of working experience in new productdevelopment, testing and Inspection methods dealing with welded,fabricated and mechanical parts. Working knowledge of Lean, six Sigma concepts and PPAP. Travel requirement including some international travel. Cross-functional work experience in major areas such as productengineering, supply chain management, project management,manufacturing, or operations Experience problem solver as an individual and leading a group,soft skills should include highly credible team player based onrelated experience and strong written, verbal communication skills,patient, action oriented, and able to utilize resources outsidequality area.
