Sales Engineer – Industrial Machinery (33212) 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN 37204 An international supplier of industrial machinery is currently searching for a full-time Sales Engineer to join their newest location in the Nashville area. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years’ practical experience in the sales / applications of industrial machinery and electrical control systems. This is a service and support position that requires availability for up to 40-60% travel to customer facilities in Tennessee and surrounding area(s). All travel costs are covered by the employer through provided allowances and expense reimbursement programs.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Identify new business development opportunities, and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territory Conduct installations and maintenance for industrial automation equipment and electrical controls onsite at customer locations. Analyze customer needs and requirements and determine appropriate solutions. Recommend additional equipment, parts, and application services. Electrical installation, wiring, and troubleshooting. Assist with preparation of service price quotations and user training materials for customers. Prepare and dispatch activity reports for upper management and company headquarters Other duties as assigned

Sales Engineer Requirements Include:

Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred, OR equivalent work experience. Minimum 2-5 years’ work history (including internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, etc.) related to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery. Specific experience with automated welding systems or similar machinery is a plus. Good familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting, and electromechanical maintenance operations. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, electrical schematics, and maintenance documents. Strong professional communication and customer support skills in a multicultural environment. Good problem-solving skills and time management ability. Availability to travel up to 40-60% of the time. This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
