Entry Level Chemical Production Engineer Position Available In Hamilton, Tennessee

Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The Production Engineer is responsible for the overallperformance of the process, which includes monitoring, optimizing,and troubleshooting various chemical manufacturing productionlines.

DUTIES:

Process Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitorchemical processes, equipment performance, and production metricsusing DCS, PLC’s and manual records. Optimize process parameters tomaximize yield, quality, and efficiency while minimizing waste andenergy use. Diagnose and resolve process-related issues, such asequipment malfunctions, product quality deviations, or productionbottlenecks. Analyze real-time data to identify and addressdeviations from standard operating conditions.

Safety andCompliance:

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and plant-specificsafety and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments,participate in safety audits, PHA’s and PSSR’s, and enforce properuse of PPE and safety protocols. Issue Safe Work Permits inaccordance with company policies. Respond to emergencies, such aschemical spills or equipment failures, following establishedprocedures.

Team Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely withsupervisors, operators, technicians, and other shift personnel toensure smooth operations. Act as a direct stand in for the shiftsupervisor, as necessary, performing all required job functions.

Provide technical guidance and training to staff and operators.

Document shift activities, incidents, and production data in logsand reports

Continuous Improvement:

Participate and lead 5S andKaizen events to improve safety and eliminate waste. Identifyopportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, or energyefficiency. Participate in root cause analyses and contribute toplant-wide improvement initiative Implement corrective actions tomaintain continuous operation and prevent downtime.
