Industrial Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer for a minimum 90-day contract with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of cycle times, costing and experience with time motion studies. The role involves entering data into an ERP system, aiming to improve accuracy and establish standard operating procedures. We are looking for a self-motivated individual capable of identifying and executing value analysis/value engineering opportunities to drive cost reduction and quality improvement. Responsibilities Understand and analyze cycle times. Conduct video analysis and utilize estimator tools for observations. Perform fixed labor and variable cost analysis. Conduct time motion studies to optimize processes. Enter and update data in an ERP system with a goal of improving accuracy from ~50% to ~75%. Work independently without the need for micromanagement. Identify and execute value analysis/value engineering opportunities to drive cost reduction and quality improvement. Assess product designs for cost reduction opportunities through design for manufacturability, alternate component sourcing, component standardization, and material optimization. Assist with cost analysis of legacy and new products, providing input for product modularization and standardization. Establish best practices in item structure (BOM) and work definition (routing) format, content, creation, and maintenance in Oracle.
