Operational Excellence Engineer Position Available In Rutherford, Tennessee

Job Description:

Your Role & Responsibilities Our OPEX Engineers work with theMAHLE Production System and will primarily focus on optimization ofprocesses; providing efficient, cost effective manufacturingmethods and tools that drive a continuous improvement culturethroughout the plant. Our OPEX Engineer is responsible for theoverall direction, coordination, and evaluation of ContinuousImprovement in the area assigned of the plant. Develop, Implement,and Maintain Continuous Improvement projects that may include:reduction in cycle times, reduction in scrap, the improvement ofprocesses, etc. Assist in the education, coaching and mentoring ofall employees in lean methodology and leading lean manufacturinginitiatives and programs throughout the plant such as work flowimprovement by Value Stream Mapping, 5S, work station efficiency,etc. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematicalcalculations to determine current and future states ofmanufacturing processes, staff requirements, and productionstandards. Develop and give input to new line locations andlayouts. Develop standard work table instructions, WIP standardsand value stream maps. Lead Continuous Improvement workshops forassigned areas. Your Skills & Strengths Bachelor’s degree (B. S.)in Business Management, or Engineering field, from a four-yearcollege or university A minimum of 3 years’ experience working withlean principles in a manufacturing environment.
