Full Job Description Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our production team in Windsor, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems used in ground support equipment. This position requires experience with hand and power tools, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble mechanical systems and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. Use a variety of hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure components. Interpret and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics. Perform functional and quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Document assembly processes and complete required production records.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification a plus. 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent manual dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components is a plus. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standing, bending, and manual assembly for extended periods. Use of hand and power tools on a daily basis.
