Job Description

Under close supervision, assists manufacturing in the day to day operations of the plant by creating, maintain or designing tooling, routing time-studies, purchasing or installing equipment. Manage day to day problem solving, machine programming and JDE troubleshooting. Provides cost analysis for projects. •Essential Functions of the

Job:

•Continually monitors and evaluates manufacturing capacity routings and standards for producing product in the plant. Review routings to determine compliance with set standards for making product. Provides analytical support with manufacturing problems through understanding of routings, tooling and drawings. Analyze and identify short and long term manufacturing capital equipment needs, tooling investments and operating cost improvements. Research and recommend various types of equipment for purchase in manufacturing. Provides manufacturing support by improving processing, reducing manufacturing cost and lead time using Lean Manufacturing techniques. •Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):•Experience in a manufacturing environment required. Knowledge of techniques such as J.I.T. (Just in Time), Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Kanban, Manufacturing Cells, etc. required. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization. Ability to coordinate multiple activities. Computer software, data entry, data retrieval and data analysis skills required. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required. •

Education and Experience:

•Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field or 7 years of manufacturing.
