This position includes working with both internal and external customers. Minimal travel may be required to accomplish necessary technical communications or installation of equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and implement overall Test Equipment Design Strategies and mentors early career teammates. Accomplish equipment design, generate drawings, and support hardware fabrication, integration and testing System requirements analysis and development System test requirements analysis and development interface design Schematic analysis and design Interface hardware design Test software analysis Hardware/software integration System selloff/verification Support of troubleshooting/problem resolution associated with existing hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle Project lead activities relating to test equipment Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle Assist suppliers when fabricating to Boeing engineering drawings This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Huntsville, AL. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Experienced, Level 3: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience) Senior, Level 4: 9 or more years’ related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience. (e.g. Master+7 years’ related work experience, PhD+4 years’ related work experience) Subject Matter Expert of electrical design with proven previous test equipment design experience 5 or more 15+ years experience in test equipment design Ability to travel to domestically at least 10% Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering Active Security Clearance Experience programing in C+ and/or Lab View Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools Experience with use of oscilloscope, multi-meter and other lab equipment High level of project management skills and communication skills Highly motivated, self-starting and comfortable dealing with diverse people and disciplines Proficiency in oral and written communication Relocation assistance is approved for this position.
