- Furnaces Level 2 Automation Engineer (Model Specialist)
- Coating Level 2 Automation Engineer (Model Specialist)
- Rolling Seeking an experienced, level 2 automation engineer that can assist our project and plant team launch an 800,000+ square foot, non-grain oriented electrical steel manufacturing plant.
We have an energetic, and results focused, team of engineers and professionals launching this highly visible and strategic finishing plant. We encourage qualified candidates to consider this opportunity to professionally grow with our team working on this exciting project. The ideal candidate will work with both original equipment manufacturers, the project team, and plant operational and maintenance teams, to procure, commission, and launch this state of the art plant.
The Basics:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering 3 years of experience with the following o C#, C++, SQL o HMI Systems (WINCC/Wonderware) Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred) Capable of analyzing technical information and quickly learning new technical skills Intermediate to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Familiar with programming languages Commitment to adhere to all safety and environmental standards and guidelines
The Extras:
Steel manufacturing experience is preferred with emphasis on high temperature furnaces, coating or cold roll milling Experience with international quality and safety standards

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Working initially with a project team and transitioning to a manufacturing plant operating team after commissioning the new equipment and plant. Coordinating and instructing user acceptance testing procedures with both functional analysts in the production systems team and end users of developed solutions. Conducting code review to maintain code standards within the team. Providing software configuration and customization including report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations. Participating with other disciplines in continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring compliance with standards of safety and quality. Forming strong and effective relationships with colleagues in related functional areas.
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office and Industrial setting Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
