26104 ? ? Summary Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunityfor a Manufacturing Engineer, supporting the Machine Division’sProduction & New Product Development. The Manufacturing Engineerhas ownership of torque tools and fastening strategy for MachineDivision assembly. The Manufacturing Engineer will expand MESintegration and capabilities in the Machine Division, while playinga key role in promoting and adopting a continuous improvementculture by focusing on problem solving to drive improvements in theorganization’s safety, quality, operational performance, customersatisfaction, and overall financial health of the company. What YouWill Do Manage substantial portions of project work and day-to-dayshop support with little to no supervision, lead projects bothwithin the department and cross-functionally. Direct the work oftechs, college students or other engineers, and may be required todirect/lead/teach other engineers and techs on their projects andmore technically challenging work inside or outside the department.

Assignments may be assigned by supervisors or developed on theirown but will need to be communicated to supervision to assurealignment with company objectives. Develop and execute continuousimprovement activities to reduce cycle time, inventory, and wastewhile improving process performance, quality, cost, andstandardizing the processes. Typical assignments may include butare not limited to: Developing torque curves for assemblyoperations Integrating torque tools and assembly instructions intoMES Resolving safety, environmental and ergonomics issues Processimprovements and optimization Cost analysis and reductions,Capacity studies Evaluation and implementation of employeesuggestions Development and implementation of new processes SixSigma projects, Continuous Improvement initiatives Shop support,quality improvements Development of processes for and the launchingof new products Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor ofScience degree in Engineering Minimum 5 years of Engineeringexperience in related field Experience developing torque andfastening strategies Understanding of and experience with MESKnowledge of various manufacturing processes, tools and materialsMust have good judgment, be well organized, and able to work withminimal supervision Commitment to seeking opportunities for costsavings and process improvements Ability to research, analyze andjustify financial purchases and make sound financial decisionsUnderstanding of six sigma tools and statistical process controlExcellent interpersonal skills, including positive communicationskills, both written and verbal Work effectively andcross-functionally on a regular basis Proficient in MS Office,including Word, Excel, Power Point; CAD software; ability to learnSAP Experience in project management and ownership Ability toperform hands-on work as required Ability to occasionally work offshifts Lincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
