Job Description
Triumph Group Position Triumph is actively recruiting an entry level Manufacturing Engineer to develop robust processes for CNC and non-CNC machining centers. The position also entails driving process improvements, ensuring components are manufacturable and offer technical expertise to the production shop floor. Manufacturing support by way of technical dispositions, process documentation and manufacturing controls are also required. Strong problem-solving skills are a must to eliminate waste and drive process efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. Qualified candidates must attain strong mechanical and manufacturing knowledge and be fluent in CAD/CAM modeling. Responsibilities
- Develop machining strategies and complete routing information.
- Create manufacturing documentation (process sketch, operation sheet, tool layout, etc.)
- Develop and procure tooling, work holding fixture, and gaging as needed.
- Create tooling and fixture drawings and CAD models.
- Develop quotations for new products in development.
- Create, update and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling and turning equipment.
- Evaluates and develops manufacturing processes by: designing experiments and collecting data applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials conferring with equipment vendors
- Designs and develops analytical and visual tools to assist and improve production and planning processes.
- Develops manufacturing planning in accordance with appropriate drawings and specification.
- Train employees as necessary with the processes for building and testing units.
- Lead root cause and corrective actions activities to support our quality requirements for our products.
- Work closely with Team Leaders, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain in order to meet customer expectations.
- Initiates, evaluates, and implements process improvements applying RCCA principle.
- Understands manufacturing capacity and capabilities planning.
- Provide technical support regarding all safety and ergonomics issues within the area.
- Review and accept engineering drawings based on manufacturability. Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year associate degree in an engineering related field
- 1+ years of manufacturing or process planning experience.
- CAD modeling and drafting experience using NX or equivalent.
- Ability to read, understand, and edit CNC programs (G & M codes)
- Capable of effectively reading blueprints, specifications, and repair/overhaul manuals
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Strong analytical skills, including data mining, formatting, and analysis.
- Ability to create and manage manufacturing data, database reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and manufacturing requirements
- Gear manufacturing a plus
- Familiarity with aerospace standards a plus
- Good writing ability, strong computer knowledge, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
