Summary This Quality Engineer ensures the correct use of advanced quality planning and engineering to enhance quality, reliability and acceptance of system, processes and products. Provide a professional level of quality customer service to both internal and external customers/suppliers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Monitor the performance of the product quality and reliability systems. + Generate and maintain accurate documentation relating to quality, reliability and process. + Implement prevention/detection systems to eliminate problems that affect quality and reliability. + Prepare and present PPM (parts per million) reports, cost of quality reports, Leadership Scorecard and other metrics reports. + Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving. + Accurately files all Quality paperwork (customer complaints, control plans, quality alerts, weekly logs, etc.) + Take active part in training and helping others as required and participate in continuous improvement teams as required. + Participate in pre-production activities as quality representative. + Complete Quality System audits of supplier on-site, and follow-up audit and corrective action. + Issue supplier non-conformance and follow-up corrective action, and problem solving with suppliers. + Coordinate Management Review process + Assist is supplier evaluations for on-site audits. + Assist and provide support for Quality Assurance Manager. Qualifications, Education, Experience + BS in Engineering or other technical discipline required. + Minimum 8 years of experience working in Quality Department in a manufacturing environment. + Certified Quality Engineer preferred. + Experience in the automotive industry preferred. + Knowledge and experience with formal documentation systems and methods particularly ISO9001 and
IATF16949.
