Seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead thedevelopment and optimization of manufacturing processes to supportefficient production and on-time delivery of customer orders. Thisrole involves estimating, process planning, tooling design, andcross-functional coordination with internal teams and externalpartners. Client Details A Newtown, PA-based company specializes inadvanced thermal spray coatings and precision machining servicesfor mission-critical components across industries such asaerospace, defense, medical, and energy. Their capabilities includeHVOF, plasma, and wire arc coatings, as well as on-site milling,turning, grinding, and surface finishing-all under one roof forstreamlined production and quality control. With a long-standinghistory supporting high-performance applications, the companyoffers functional coatings for wear resistance, thermal protection,electrical insulation, and chemical barriers, positioning itself asa one-stop provider for engineered surface solutions.

DescriptionCore Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of detailed costestimates in response to customer RFQs, including operationsequences, cycle times, tooling needs, outsourced services,inspection plans, shipping strategies, and anticipated lead times.

Translate customer purchase orders and specifications into clear,actionable manufacturing plans, including the creation andmaintenance of job standards, work travelers, and productiondocumentation. Design jigs, fixtures, and custom tooling to enhancemanufacturability, reduce production costs, and maintain compliancewith technical requirements, while balancing tool life and partvolumes. Continuously refine and update process documentation asimprovements are made or customer requirements evolve. Collaboratewith Production Control, Sales, and Procurement to align prioritiesand ensure timely release of manufacturing documentation andtooling in accordance with delivery schedules. Act as a technicalliaison to support shop floor activities, clarify job instructions,and troubleshoot process issues when necessary.

Profile RequiredQualifications:

Minimum of 2 years in a regulated manufacturingenvironment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical device). Strongproficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word within the Office 365suite. Skilled in 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks or comparableplatforms. Proficient in reading and creating technical drawingsand applying GD&T. Hands-on experience with inspection toolssuch as calipers, micrometers, and indicators. Knowledge of DFMprinciples and ability to apply them during process planning.

Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

JobOffer Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CAM software suchas SolidCAM or equivalent. Competency in G-code and M-code CNCprogramming. Understanding of control systems, automation, andbasic robotic integration. Practical machining experience withmaterials like stainless steel, Inconel, and other high-tempalloys. Familiarity with additive manufacturing, especially FDMprinting technologies. Prior work creating detailed manufacturinginstructions and production routers. Ability to interpretengineering specifications and standards (AMS, ASTM, etc.).Exposure to special processes such as thermal spray coatings orsolid film lubricants. Experience working under quality systemssuch as

ISO 9001, AS9100, FAA
