Design Engineer
Retaining Wall Design Engineer Contract to
Direct Hire, Full Time Salary:
$35.00 – $50.00 Hour W2 DOE
Work Site Location:
Wallingford, CT (Onsite Position Monday-Friday 7am – 5pm) Our client is seeking a qualified Retaining Wall Design Engineer to join their Doublewal Division team. Doublewal provides the design and supply of materials for its proprietary retaining wall system to contractors and owners for their retaining wall needs. Our clients company works as a material supplier on public and privately owned projects. The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited school of engineering. Candidate must be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or have their FE/EIT with the ability to obtain their PE. Candidate must also be proficient in AutoCad.
Job Requirements:
Ability to perform the structural design and analysis of retaining wall systems Ability to develop accurate wall layouts and details based off of customer supplied contract plans Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents Prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines Perform other related duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited school of engineering.
