Qualifications
Tolls Design Engineer
RS&H is seeking a Tolls Design Engineer to join our National Tolls Consulting Service Group in a full-time position. The Tolls Design Engineer will work on the planning and design efforts for the tolling roadside infrastructure. This includes interdisciplinary collaboration of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications in support of our nationwide tolling clients. The Tolls Design Engineer will coordinate closely with all members of our multi-discipline project team. The Tolls Design Engineer provides technical oversight and input into all phases of planning, design, and construction of roadside tolling infrastructure and will have opportunities to also support in our national Tolls Consulting efforts with agencies such as Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Golden Gate Bridge, Highway, and Transportation District, and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, to name a few.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Responsible for the development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans
Assist in the development of project specifications
Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects
Assists with quality control reviews of the discipline specific engineering project deliverables/elements
Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within the discipline
You will be guided by senior staff to grow into an experienced Tolls Design Engineer and encouraged to focus on areas of expertise in support of your interests and in support ofpany and project goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering design and drafting.
3 years of relevant experience in the consulting engineering field.
Experience assembling and drafting high-quality construction drawings in a team environment.
Proficiency in MicroStation, Microsoft Office Suite Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills
Proactive in investigating and developing solutions and spreading knowledge with the team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
Experience in electrical design and drafting
Experience in designing and drafting power distribution and lighting systems for infrastructure projects.
Location
Minimum 3 days in the office in Tampa, or Orlando.
Position will require virtualmunication and video conferencing to collaborate with remote team members.
