Manufacturing/Process Engineer 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 15446 Flight Path Dr, Brooksville, FL 34604 Full time on-sight position.
Position Overview:
Provides technical manufacturing support required for the production of high-quality products from the design phase through all phases of production. Liaison between the Design Engineers, Production, and quality Departments to promote efficient and well-organized manufacturing operations.
Essential Job Functions :
Positively reinforce and support company policies, procedures, and work practices. Create required documentation for new products including Process Flow Charts, PFMEAs and Control Plans. Attends design reviews and provides product evaluations to ensure the product design leads itself to practical, economical manufacturing techniques. Assists in reviewing engineering design drawings prior to Production release for compatibility with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques. Participates in the review of engineering change orders to ensure proposed design changes are producible and within manufacturing capabilities. Evaluates the requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment required to support the manufacturing operations. Creating and/or refining routers for new products that include all appropriate tests and inspections. Ensure processes and procedures follow regulations. Review and set up optimized product flow through standard work. Develop, execute, analyze data, and write reports for verification/validation activities. Train operators to new processes and revisions of processes. Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to product specifications/requirements. Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule related to the manufacturing or design for manufacturing of the product. Maintain organization of production areas, workrooms, and labs. Monitor production costs as well as identify and lead cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives. Design, build, debug, and maintain current and new equipment. Assist in make/buy evaluations and making recommendations on in-house vs outside vendor manufacturing capabilities. Assist in addressing returns and troubleshooting for CAPSs. Takes an active role in dispositioning of discrepant material and/or assemblies. Report on cost and improvement initiatives to management on regular intervals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or engineering equivalent experience. 0-2 years manufacturing engineering experience in a precision machine shop environment. Experience with SolidWorks. Demonstrate leadership capabilities. A critical thinker dedicated to solving root cause analysis problems and continuous improvement on the job. Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required. Effective organization and prioritization skills. Demonstrate high attention to detail. Good technical writing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgement. Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools. Strong customer service and client focus. Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products.
