Manufacturing EngineerJob Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. You will design the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout, specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment, and adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Your role may also include incorporating inspection and test requirements into the production plan and inspecting the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality. You will develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques, ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities + Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies and equipment. + Arrange machines within plant facilities for efficient and productive layout. + Specify procedures for tool and equipment fabrication impacting product performance. + Adapt machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions. + Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans. + Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency. + Investigate and initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality. + Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control. + Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements. + Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of Manufacturing Engineer experience with Circuit Card Assembly’s Plated Through Hole area. + Experience with component prep, wave solder, select solder, and AOI. + Knowledge of CCAs and PTH assembly. + Familiarity with specifications IPC-A-610 and
J-STD-001.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with conformal coating spray processes. + Expertise in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing process. + Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and continuous improvement skills. + Proficiency in tooling, SolidWorks, engineering, assembly, design, and work instruction. Work Environment The role will be performed in a manufacturing environment that involves working with various machinery and tools. You will engage in designing layouts and optimizing machine arrangements to enhance productivity. The work environment promotes continuous improvement and compliance with industry regulations, providing opportunities to implement lean manufacturing techniques and process improvements. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $53.65 – $53.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
