We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer/Manager to develop, schedule, plan, execute & manage projects which support mill operations. The Project Engineer/Manager is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines required to successfully execute projects, as well as providing engineering advice to support operations.

Plant Home Base:

Diboll, TX
To be a successful Project Engineer/Manager, you should have the ability to work closely with mill personnel on multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. You should also have excellentanizational,munication, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
What You Will Do
Working closely with lumber mill teams to identify and support opportunities to improve operations
Developing, preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to execute project work.
Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.
Cooperating andmunicating with project participants/ and collaborating with senior engineers to create efficient and effective methods to meet project objectives.
Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
Developing equipment specifications and working with vendors to meet project needs.
Creating frameworks to measure the project metrics and data collection.
Ensuring the project’spliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar
Three (3) or more years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or military environment
Previous project management experience (full life cycle from idea to implementation)
Previous experience managing budget plans and equipment parts inventory
Experience coordinating projects, deliverables, and timing
Experience collaborating with stakeholders and partners
Microsoft Office product experience: Word (document creation/editing), Excel (sorting data, creating tables), & Outlook (scheduling tasks, calendar invitations and general professional correspondence)
Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, dusty, non-air conditioned or unheated areas
Ability to travel up to 10% (including some overnight travel)
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience within wood products facilities
Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD
Experience with a CMMS puterized maintenance management systems)
Experience with project management software (MS Project, Ecosys)
Mentoring/coaching/developing facility leadership
