Job Title:

Drafting Engineer Job Description The Design/Drafting Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and correcting engineering drawings throughout the release process. This role involves taking drawings from other engineering teams, making necessary corrections, and routing them for approval. Additionally, the engineer will create inspection plans from drawings or specifications to be implemented in the MES system and quality lab, updating routings based on feedback. Responsibilities + Review engineering drawings and make corrections as needed. + Route corrected drawings for approval. + Create inspection plans based on engineering drawings or specifications. + Implement inspection plans in the MES system and quality lab. + Update routings based on feedback from quality and design teams. + Collaborate cross-functionally, setting expectations and driving own work without constant supervision. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of CAD/Drafting experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD. + Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning standards. + Experience with MES/ERP systems, transitioning from Teamcenter to Oracle. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Siemens NX (training available). + Familiarity with inspection tools and micrometers. + Hands-on experience with drafting, assembly, or build trials. + New product integration experience. + Certification in SolidWorks is a plus. + Ability to work with SAP, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Oracle. Work Environment This role is fully onsite, with core working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM and potential for overtime. The work environment includes 80% office work with CAD systems and 20% hands-on work on the floor. You will work closely with 14 Quality Engineers and 6 Techs in the Quality Lab.
