Sitework Engineer Requirements:
7-10 years of relevant sitework engineering experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Georgia preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
Responsibilities:
Provide sitework engineering design services and field support Prepare engineering designs and calculations Conduct site walk-downs Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs Provide schedule and staffing input for projects Efficiently manage multiple projects concurrently Apply strong technical writing and Microsoft Office skills on a daily basis
Required Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of environmental regulations, including: Erosion control best management practices (BMPs) Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA-EPD) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Ability to develop: Scope definitions Project schedules Material takeoffs Cost estimates Proven ability to coordinate with other disciplines in the production of design documents Strong knowledge or certification in: Erosion and sediment control Stormwater drainage and hydrology design Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for sitework design Prior experience in civil sitework construction is a plus Working knowledge of sitework design principles with the ability to produce accurate grading plan sets Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to build effective relationships with: Internal stakeholders (project management, construction, maintenance, design engineering staff) External stakeholders (architects, contractors, vendors)
