This is a 3rd shift position that includes a 12%shift differential Manufacturing Engineers learn productionoperations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlledenvironment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, anunderstanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety andschedule), and Raytheon systems and tools. MEs build technicaldepth in manufacturing processes and are accountable forimprovement and optimization. Primary responsibilities includedeveloping the comprehensive manufacturing process for 3D metalparts for various radar, integrated sensor, and effector programs.
The candidate will define materials, develop work holdingsolutions, develop inspection plans, and create processinstructions for operators to follow. This position requires closecooperation with the Operations team and other engineeringdisciplines. The desired candidate will possess excellentcommunication skills and be capable of working in a dynamic teamenvironment. What You Will Do Translate engineering designrequirements into formal manufacturing process documentationincluding raw material definition, fixturing/tooling development,CNC programming, inspection planning, finishing requirements, andassembly instructions Drive process improvements using dataanalysis, application of best practices, and by implementinginnovative solutions to improve process capability and decreasecost Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process throughcollaboration with a multi-disciplined team Perform processdevelopment on new product introductions in support of acceleratedtime to market Integrate automated solutions for part handling andin machine work holding Lead continuous improvement initiatives anddocument standard methodologies and standard work Provide technicalexpertise reviewing metrology and statistical process control (SPC)data Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’sand a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an AdvanceDegree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. 1year of manufacturing experience Experience applying andinterpreting standard and geometric dimensions and tolerances. Theability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S.citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for asecurity clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Advanced knowledge ofhigh-speed machining techniques Strong working knowledge of CNCmachine tool capability, fixture design, and macro programming.
Demonstrated experience with PFMEA, SPC, shop floor processmonitoring, data collection and adaptive methods. Multi-axis CNCprogramming experience System design and integration experience.
FANUC robot programming experience. Demonstrated working knowledgeof Creo CAD/CAM Software. Process familiarity with paint, plating,and structural assembly. Innovative mindset for continuousimprovement keeping pace with advancements in technology.
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to workacross disciplines. GD&T certification. Strong organizationskills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually.
Self-motivated and results oriented. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. Possess excellent judgment and professionalmaturity. Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles andtechniques. Active DoD Security Clearance. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarilyonsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, asthey are essential to the development of our products. The salaryrange for this role is 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD. The salary rangeprovided is a good faith estimate representative of all experiencelevels.
