The manufacturingengineer position develops and recommends cost-effectivemanufacturing processes and methods in accordance with productspecifications and quality standards; recommends improvements toproduction processes, methods and controls; helps to coordinatemanufacturing launches for new or revised products. Helps totroubleshoot equipment and determine the root cause of theequipment failure as needed throughout the plant.
Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities:

- Recommends process improvement, problem resolution and employeetraining.
- Helps improve manufacturing processes and methods forcost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Prepares andpresents plans for the above and coordinate deployment includingtraining of team members.
- Monitors process conditions ofManufacturing Equipment
- Lead investigations into manufacturingabnormalities, determine root cause and suggest countermeasures
- Identify safety improvements and risk mitigation
- Support capacityanalysis and ROI with ME on current and future year plans
- SupportME with time study analysis, and capital planning initiatives.
- Assists the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving a system ofproduction control, standard operating procedures, safety, qualitycontrol and training.
- Helps to coordinate the manufacturinglaunch of new/revised products including establishing goals,training team members and evaluating results.
- Designs, developsand tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools,machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, qualityimprovement, and improved efficiency.
- Represents manufacturing oncross-functional teams.
- Assemble mechanical and /or electronicdevices and assemblies referring to engineering specifications,prints and layouts.
- PLC Programming and troubleshooting skills
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 1•5 years ofrelated job experience.
- Manufacturing experience in a fastpaced/high volume metal working business preferred
- CAD Knowledge
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and havethe ability to be approachable and tactful.
- Good Math andcomputer skills. (Office, Word, Excel, etc.,)
- Good organizationaland planning skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple prioritiesand/or projects simultaneously.
