In this pivotal role, you’ll drive cutting-edge automationstrategies, working closely with both internal teams and externalpartners to design, install, and launch advanced automated systems.

Description This role willreport directly into the Director of Automation Engineering and beresponsible for Managing automation capital projects from design,integration, installation, and commissioning, ensuring they aredelivering expected value to Plant Operations. Reviewing existingautomation systems to identify opportunities for improving safety,manufacturing efficiency, quality, throughput, and supportingvertical integration across plant boundaries. Researching,designing, and developing control systems for industrial use byapplying knowledge in control engineering. Acting as a technicalexpert across the campus, troubleshooting automated equipment androbotic cells. Diagnosing problems and performing repairs ormodifications on automated production equipment, using advancedelectrical, electronic, and mechanical skills while minimizingdowntime and preventing recurrence. Upgrading obsolete orhard-to-source components to ensure system reliability andmaintainability. Ensuring proper documentation of electricalcontrols and maintaining source code management for softwareprograms. Collaborating with IT, Plant Operations, and externalcontractors to streamline and promote enterprise-wide automationsolutions. Training shop floor personnel andmaintenance/engineering technicians on the operation andtroubleshooting of automated equipment.
