Job Summary:

The Specialist II in Project Engineering for Composite Manufacturing is responsible for supporting engineering projects related to composite materials and processes. This role involves coordinating project activities, assisting with technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. No formal degree is required, but relevant experience and skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:

Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects related to composite manufacturing, ensuring adherence to timelines and project objectives.

Documentation Support:

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, reports, and progress updates, to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.

Data Analysis:

Collect and analyze data related to project performance, helping to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support project activities and ensure alignment with manufacturing processes.

Problem-Solving:

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving engineering challenges as they arise during project execution.

Process Improvement:

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and suggestions based on project experiences.

Quality Assurance:

Support compliance with industry standards and best practices in composite manufacturing throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant experience in project engineering or a similar role within the composite manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing project documentation and timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Physical Requirement:

Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, stretching, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required but it is not usual.
