Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Production Line Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will develop process plans for battery production lines, manage equipment procurement and installation, and ensure the smooth execution of pre-production trials and the launch of production lines. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, both domestic and international, to achieve project milestones and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Develop process plans for battery production lines within the department with direct support from the Manager. Collaborate with Engineers, Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors, and General Contractors to achieve project milestones. Manage equipment procurement, installation planning, execution, commissioning, and pre-production trials. Lead and support equipment trials at vendors prior to shipping and on the manufacturing floor after installation. Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols necessary for manufacturing. Identify items, perform root cause analysis, and manage countermeasures. Summarize KPIs, handle mass-production handover, and support production issues. Engage with cross-functional teams to discuss open items and key project schedules/milestones. Create and maintain detailed schedules for assigned areas. Maintain budgets for assigned areas. Complete internal and external training. Report daily in written and verbal forms up to Manager level. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a similar technical field. Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects from initial strategy planning to mass production. Project management experience with capital investments greater than $0.5M. Experience in creating and maintaining detailed schedules including milestone achievements for manufacturing equipment installation. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings including building facilities and process equipment drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Proficiency with 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD. Ability for business travel, both domestic and international up to 25%. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as needed based on project conditions and schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with equipment installation, machine troubleshooting, and project scheduling. Work Environment The role involves working in a collaborative team environment and requires adherence to advanced cleanliness protocols (clean room) for specific areas of battery manufacturing. The position may involve business travel up to 25%, including international travel. Candidates must also be available to work weekends, holidays, and during shutdown periods as needed to meet project deadlines.
