Description Understanding Gear Hobbing – Gear hobbing is a precise and efficient method of machining gears. It involves using a cylindrical cutting tool called a hob, which rotates in tandem with a gear blank to carve out the teeth of the gear in a highly controlled manner Tools and Equipment Design Setting up the gear blank and hob cutter with accurate alignment. Synchronizing rotations of the gear blank and hob cutter to define the gear’s tooth count and profile. Cutting teeth progressively as the hob moves along the blank, shaping the final gear profile
Additional Requirements:
BS or AS Degree in Engineering Gear Hobbing Experience required.
