Manufacturing Engineer

Overview:

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The role offers strong visibility across production, engineering, and quality, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day production activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
Implement and maintain lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
Analyze manufacturing processes and rmend changes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Coordinate and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) related to design updates, tooling, or process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality, and maintenance.
Develop standard work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
Lead or support capital equipment projects, including justification, installation, and validation.
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues.
Utilize data-driven tools such as SPC, FMEA, or Six Sigma to improve manufacturing oues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement role.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Hands-on problem-solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Experience in plastics, metal fabrication, etc.
