Design Engineer Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description 1.Responsible for system components and assembly designs, prototyping, stress analysis, aesthetics, safety, cost effectiveness, ease of manufacture, ease of installation and timely availability. 2. Must be progressive in design, continually searching for the most cost-efficient means of production. 3. Must be able to communicate with vendors, request quotes if needed and approve components prior to introducing them into the manufacturing process. 4. Must exercise timely preparation and approval of all drawings, create bill of materials, and document revisions, which clearly communicate the necessary technical information for approval, manufacturing, subcontracting, and installation. 5. Ensures the engineering task is successful from design through purchasing, manufacturing, installation, production, and support/maintenance. 6. Responsible for hands-on manufacturing of design prototypes. 7. Involved with the engineering of systems, modifications to standard designs, preparation of installation drawings, providing engineering support during installations, and follow-up activity as required. 8. Set-up and assists with sales demos. 9. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Skills mechanical, designer, solidworks, autocad, BSME, Cad, automation Top Skills Details mechanical,designer,solidworks,autocad,BSME Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ year experience Must be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Valid drivers license BSME or Associates degree preferred.

• Mechanical ability
• Must be proficient in SolidWorks.
• Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D)
• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to read a ruler to the 16th.
• Adept in the use of calipers
• Working knowledge of hand, power, and machine tools
• Strong knowledge of mechanical code
• Must be able to travel. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $42.00/hr.
