Manufacturing/Wire Engineer Job Description Summary:
Hands-on engineering and processing experience in all facets of building wire manufacturing including but not limited to wire draw, bunching, cabling, extrusion, electro tinplating, and rewind. Responsibilities Design, develop and implement processes with all equipment and tooling related to wire production. Work closely with maintenance to ensure proper equipment functioning. Assist quality to ensure products meet the required specifications. Make recommendations for new equipment, fixtures, and tooling, or assist in the development of work instructions for manufacturing use. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Work well independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of copper and aluminum wire manufacturing experience. Knowledge of applicable Industry standards. Effective communication skills; written and oral. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and AutoCAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications Cellular and lean manufacturing experience is helpful. Work Environment Work performed in an office environment and in the manufacturing plant. Exposed to shop elements such as noise and dust.
