Manufacturing Applications Engineer Raleigh, NC, 27606 12MonthContract 8 am- 5 pm (Mon-Fri)

Overview:

This position supportssales, provides technical expertise, and demonstrates 3D printingtechnologies to customers. Responsibilities include managing andmaintaining 3D printers and scanners at the Client Center forAdditive Manufacturing (RCAM), optimizing additive manufacturingprocesses, and driving innovation. The role combines project,process, and design engineering functions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers to create and optimize CAD models foradditive manufacturing, including material selection andmanufacturability. Develop and refine AM processes to improveefficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality at RCAM and All-In 3DPrint MS sites. Execute daily operations of 3D printing systems andparticipate in production planning and quality assurance. Leadcross-functional teams on AM-related projects. Provide technicalsupport and training to customers and production staff. Researchnew materials and technologies to support innovation andoperational excellence. Conduct testing and quality checks toensure manufactured components meet standards. Safeguardconfidential and proprietary information and interactprofessionally with internal and external contacts. Provideaccurate, courteous, and professional service to all customers.

Generate ad hoc reports and data analysis for internal and regionalmanagement using tools like OMD, Oracle, and PC-based systems.

Identify and develop benchmarks for performance comparisons.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degreein engineering, materials science, or related field preferred. 3 5years of experience in design for additive manufacturing or arelated 3D printing field. Background in 3D printing operations andanalytics required. Proficient in 3D CAD software and additivemanufacturing technologies. Strong project management andcommunication skills. Team-oriented with a passion for stayingcurrent on AM trends and applications. Ability to analyze andreport performance data using varied data sources. Ability to workin a lab environment with light physical activity (e.g., liftingunder 20 lbs, standing, walking, using hand tools). MetasysTechnologies is an equal opportunity employer.
