Job Description The Engineering Design Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing engineering and operations for a rapidly expanding design division. This division focuses on low to mid-rise residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The manager is responsible for supervising and certifying the work of a team comprising design engineers, drafters, and project managers. Additionally, the manager prepares proposals for new projects and actively cultivates new client relationships while maintaining existing ones. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (focus on structures) with 10+ years of experience in the commercial/residential space or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 7+ years of experience in the commercial/residential space Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in software:
word processing, spreadsheets, drafting (AutoCAD), structural calculations (Enercalc, RetainPro), and structural modeling (RISA 2D/3D, RAM Elements).
