Summary of Position:
The Project Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining a schedule management system to support Engineering activities. This role also includes monitoring and reporting on the efficiency and performance of the Engineering department, using the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and business program classifications as a key reference. Additionally, the Project Manager serves as a critical interface between Engineering and other departments, fostering cross-functional collaboration, clear communication, and the timely delivery of project milestones.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations. Define and manage project scope, ensuring timely delivery of engineering milestones. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality) to ensure project alignment and support. Facilitate effective communication and decision-making across teams. Track and report project and resource performance using project management tools. Manage engineering activity forecasts and ensure transparency of progress against goals. Provide regular updates to leadership on project health, risks, and key decisions. Maintain accurate documentation related to project development, decisions, and changes. Support classification and tracking of engineering activities in alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Utilize project management tools and systems to manage tasks, timelines, and team collaboration. Support the continuous improvement of project execution standards, reporting, and business controls. All other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management within an engineering or technical environment. Proven track record of managing cross-functional engineering projects. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and metrics (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Power BI, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. PMP certification is a plus.
Eligibility Requirements:

Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.
