Junior Manufacturing Engineer Dynamics Inc. 493 Nixon Road, Cheswick, PA 15024 Summary Description Dynamics’ engineering capability includes design engineering, process engineering, and automation engineering. Dynamics’ implementation group works to manufacture our engineered designs, using our engineered processes, and leveraging our engineered automation. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer will perform as part of our implementation capability. Our implementation capability works closely with our process engineering capability, design engineering resources, and automation engineering resources to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement the process technologies that enable our engineering designs to be manufactured in volume by our automation resources. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for advancing performance of our implementation domain prospective according to valid and sound scientific and engineering principles such that various methods and tactics can be applied to identify regions of the implementation space where Dynamics Inc. can manufacture and improve its commercial products. Statistical analysis and root cause analysis is included in the capability. The engineer will be required to perform mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and will be part of the operational leadership team managing our various manufacturing resources across our various manufacturing facilities. This role is also responsible for operating manufacturing lines, implementing manufacturing processes, implementing manufacturing automation, training manufacturing team members, qualifying processes, initiating and integrating quality improvement initiatives into the supply chain to reduce BOM and vendor material costs, reduce supply chain risk and develop new material and material sources. Key Performance Indicators Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements Designing and developing prototypes Developing, initiating and managing all phases of manufacturing projects Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors Collaborating with team members proper allocation and tracking of resources Manage work schedules, manufacturing lines, train manufacturing team members, develop manufacturing profiles to run in different scenarios and to run and lead those profiles in various scenarios. Validate Dynamics process and product quality through testing, analysis and continuous improvement. Develop and initiate process improvement plans and present proposals, status updates and results to Quality Review Boards, Material Review Boards and Process Change Review Boards. Reduce material cost, material scrap and production down time by using

SPC / DMAIC

methodologies to take immediate and direct actions. Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and applicable industry standards Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education, at least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment specializing in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering or other advanced technologies and/or disciplines (e.g., physics, applied mathematics, etc. Strong written and oral communication skills Proficiency in relevant computer applications Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action development Primary Skills Ability to work independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplined engineering team Ability to work with databases to efficiently store, access, categorize and manipulate large amounts of Data Excellent time and project management skills Ability to lead people Ability to digest problems, determine potential solutions, test solutions, and then manage the introduction and maintenance of those solutions. Experimental design and analysis Technical and scientific communication Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex Working knowledge of electronic and optical test equipment Secondary Skills Customer relationship management Solid documentation and technical writing
