Design Engineer Position Available In Bristol, Rhode Island

Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development of mechanical rotary face seals for aerospace and adjacent markets.
3D Modelling & Drawings using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
Reverse Engineering and component selection for new or legacy products.
Execute Test Plans includes designing test rigs, operating them, and collecting/analyzing test data.
Create Engineering Reports clear documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Feasibility & Cost Analysis evaluate customer design proposals/specs for viability.
Cross-functional Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers.
Process Improvement suggest and implement design or process changes.
Support Legacy Products troubleshooting and resolving design issues in existing systems.

Key Skills:

Mechanical Design Engineering (especially with rotating equipment or seals)
SolidWorks (3D CAD) design and drafting

FEA / FMEA

structural analysis and failure mode evaluation
Testing & Validation hands-on experience with mechanical testing
Technical Documentation writing engineering reports and procedures
AS9100 Knowledge aerospace quality standards
ITAR Compliance familiarity with export control requirements
Cross-functional Teamwork ability to work with manufacturing, supply chain, and QA
Problem-solving & Root Cause Analysis
Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
