Ladson, SC Manufacturing Engineering Support Specialist Direct Hire Opportunity Location:

Ladson, SC

Schedule:

100% onsite, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as required)

Compensation:

$35-$39/hour, benefits and paid time off Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineering Support Specialist will assist Manufacturing Engineers working on New Product Development at the Charleston Turbo Plant, specifically in the Assembly and Test Area. This role involves troubleshooting, equipment modifications, and supporting trial builds and capital projects. Key Responsibilities Assist with new equipment installations and modifications to existing assembly stations.
Troubleshoot assembly cells, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and tooling/fixturing issues.
Support Engineering Trial Builds on the Assembly Line and prepare stations for new product launches.
Collaborate with Plant TPM, Prototype Shop, and External Suppliers to develop tooling designs and outsourced components.
Provide Capital Project Management support across Assembly and Test Areas.
Train associates on new or modified workstations.
Maintain and update control documents and station documentation. Qualifications Self-motivated and quick learner with the ability to grasp the SAMS Integration/Interface System.
Mid-level electrical and controls knowledge, including programming and troubleshooting.
Availability to work weekends and holiday outages for upfits and new program installations.
Experience with high-tech automation systems, including:
Vision systems
Laser systems
Torque tools
Falsifying technology
Robots/cobots Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Compliance with export control and sanctions regulations (licensing may be required).
3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
