Landfill Design Engineer Position Overview:

We areseeking a highly skilled and dedicated Landfill Design Engineerwith up to 6 years of experience, actively engaged in hands-onlandfill design work. This is not a managerial or projectmanagement role; instead, it is a technical design position focusedon developing expertise under the mentorship of a leading landfilldesigner. The ideal candidate is eager to grow as an understudy andcontribute directly to innovative landfill gas capture projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and perform engineering calculations anddirect CADD efforts to translate concepts into detailed designdrawings. Prepare comprehensive design reports, projectdocumentation, and certification materials. Collaborate on allproject phases from feasibility studies through construction andstartup, including the preparation of drawings, plans,specifications, bid documents, and reports. Develop technicalproposals for mid to large-scale projects, including technicalplans, schedules, and cost estimates, working closely with projectstaff. Apply specialized knowledge to the design of landfill gascapture mechanisms, with a strong focus on renewable natural gassystems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in MechanicalEngineering or related field. PE licensed or EIT with the abilityand commitment to obtain PE licensure. Up to 5 years of directlandfill design experience, particularly with landfill gas capturesystem design (strongly preferred). Proven hands-on experience withmechanical engineering design related to gas capture and renewablenatural gas (strongly preferred). Ability to independently performengineering calculations and produce technical designdocumentation. Strong communication skills for writing reports andcontributing to project decisions under the guidance of seniorclient managers. Willingness to learn and grow under mentorshipfrom senior landfill designers.
